Seems really promising but I ran into a few issues that didn't let me finish the chapter. The movement felt unintuitive at first but after a couple deaths in the tutorial I started to get the hang of it and enjoyed it and just kinda shot the enemies in the first encounter while haphazardly sliding around. I got stuck at the ball pit and just couldn't dodge the enemies without them getting a hit in, and I was at 20hp so i could not tank the damage and trying to out-manoeuvre the enemies with both debuffs felt kinda impossible, so I gave up here (after quite a few attempts) and loading back to earlier chapters seemed to bug out for me. Loved the style and really cool ideas, would love to be able to play more.

Hey thanks for playing and your feedback!

I'll look into the bugged out chapter select asap.

It's a hard game, but I've played a lot of it so it's difficult for me to gauge the difficulty.  I think I'll put another health pickup in the leadup to the ball pit to help, If you're able to get out of the pit and progress a bit further there's a morphine that will clear all your debuffs and heal you fully.

I just published an updated version that should hopefully fix the issues you're having!

just finished the chapter and found the disks, and it was really good! Kicking the ball pushed me around pretty strangely and through the floor twice (i landed outside the map at the ending) and it seems you can do a kindof superjump by jumping on the ground then immediately boosting upwards which im not sure if its intended behaviour. The autoaim also seemed to flick around a lot when there where a bunch of enemies close to me which. I still struggled in the combats for a bit, I think I was not understanding how much I could turn when going fast and I was not automatically reaching for the right controls but after "getting good" and dodging the gameplay felt a lot better. I think my only real gripe with the game (ignoring bugs) is how the mechanics are taught as I only really got good at the very end of the game after many deaths, but this is a chapter 0 so maybe its not that problematic.

TL;DR awesome art, music, themes and style. Gameplay was fun just hard to pick up. Would love to see more! (and comboing the saw was sick)
